45 - The Time Someone Shot A Bullet Through My Pillow (And What It Taught Me)
from #GetPaid Be Free (W/ Josh Forti) · host Josh Forti
In today’s episode, I’ll start off by sharing the experience I’ve had doing Alex Charfen’s “Natural Thirst Challenge.” I’ll then talk about how important it is to be grateful to live life and how to overcome depression on those days when you’re feeling down. To highlight that a little better, I’ll share a story about the time I almost died, and how that really shifted my perspective on life and took me through an emotional change that enabled me to be appreciative of life and what I have no matter the situation I’m in. Key Points Discussed: A challenge to keep you healthy and optimized (03:22) The beauty of life and how it’s worth living (06:23) Escaping death by a whisker (09:56) Mastering an attitude of gratefulness (14:27) Looking at everything objectively (17:37) You can find the transcripts and more at www.thinkdifferenttheory.com/45 Be sure to follow me on Instagram @joshforti Subscribe to the podcast on Apple, Spotify, Google, Stitcher, or anywhere else you listen to your podcasts. What this episode covers
In this episode, I'm going to bring into perspective the fact that we need to be grateful to simply be alive and have the ability to better ourselves each day. I'm going to tell the story of how I almost died (literally) by a bullet going through my pillow. I was at an event where the house got shot up, and if I would have been asleep, I would have been dead. I'm going to dive into how that crazy event made me realize just how lucky we are to be alive and how I realized that we all need to be grateful for the ability to get better. Often times we forget to look at things objectively, and if just take a step back, often times it helps us overcome whatever we are going through.
