45. The Well drinks tea

☳/☴ Tea time equals Me Time. By now everybody that reads my posts knows this. Tea time equals Me time is the simple art of taking time out from whatever is the issue at hand and using tea 茶 to find the still centre that is our power-base. Very useful when we can't meditate or do our martial arts. ☵/☲ But is it possible to do Tea time equals Me time and make money at the same time? ☶/☱ To find out, I consulted the I-Ching 易經. To most people the I-Ching 易經 is a book of fortune telling. But to those that use it in their daily life, it is a compass based upon its own paradigm logic. That once learnt (the hardest part), it is easy to follow. ☰/☷ The I-Ching 易經 is at the centre of all Taoist thought. And is at the very heart of Oriental conceptualisation and a fundamental tenant of Baguazhang 八卦掌: Change 易. ☷/☰ In martial arts, a Baguazhang 八卦掌 practitioner is the personification of the idea of change itself through the movements and forms themselves. It is what makes Baguazhang 八卦掌 unique form other styles. ☱/☶ So back to the question of Tea time equals Me time making money, the I-Ching gave Hexagram 卦 48: The Well ䷯(井卦), with no changing lines. Which means yes, provided that the well has been cleaned up and made possible for others to see and visit. ☲/☵ Here the well is referring to our inner well (unless you do have a teahouse, cafe or pub/bar). What we experience outside of us is just a inverted reflection of what is happening inside of us. Lost to the world of materialism, we make poor bedfellows of ourselves with ourselves. ☴/☳ In Laymens' Terms: When we are stressed and polluting from the rubbish we take in, we become blind to the truth around us, biased in our actions and make poor decisions that later down the line become the source of our next set of experiential and/or financial pain. By going to our well 井 like practicing Tea Time equals Me time, we elevate ourselves from the chaos and allow spacetime itself to show us a new way to our goals (which could be money).
