In this episode of In the Circle, I explore the theme of moving beyond addiction and thriving in all aspects of life. Addiction is a universal human experience, and everyone is on the spectrum of this journey in some way.

By using the practice of yoga and meditation, we find ourselves able to move from a state of darkness and addiction toward light, freedom, and joy—true contentment involves a life free from cravings, compulsions, and complaints.

It is impossible to experience true gratitude while harboring these things, and it has been said that a grateful addict never relapses. We need to evolve from being the victims of our lives to being the architects of our destiny, actively shaping our experiences with awareness, responsibility, and empowered choice.

Tommy discusses

  • Celebrating light in the darkness
  • Why you cannot complain and experience gratitude at the same time
  • The power of Santosha
  • How to stop living from craving to craving
  • The power of mantra and mindfulness in addiction recovery
