A purple belt at the time, he defied the odds by not only winning but submitting four black belts along the way.But overcoming the odds is nothing new for him. Child abuse, drug abuse, and injury are just some of the obstacles he has overcome on his way to achieving his goals of becoming a fighter and Jiu Jitsu black belt.
