46 Marc Kramer, Investor - 'What Are The Chances?' - Leaning Into Luck in Making the Impossible Possible

From off-the-charts low scores in his school exams to raising $3 billion, Marc Kramer's story is an extraordinary one of defying expectations and making his own way in the world. As he puts it with his characteristic dry wit, "I think people always want to say, 'No, that can't happen.' And yet they overlook the fact that if somebody puts themselves out there and tries it, that there's a reasonably good chance that that might work. After all, it's all a matter of trying. I always tell my kids 50% of life is just showing up." Marc is now the executive director of the Private Investors Forum and has worked with over 1,500 companies from all over the world making introductions to angel investors.
