"My Best Friend's Exorcism," directed by Damon Thomas, based on the book by Grady Hendrix, is about two teen best friends, Gretchen (Amiah Miller) and Abby (Elsie Fisher), who are best friends doing their damnedest to survive high school in the 80s. That's hard enough, but after Gretchen is possessed by a demon? I don't even think Culture Club and fro-yo's gonna do the trick. It's gonna have to be Abby, equipped with the power of the kind of friendship that's less than a spouse, but more than a sister.
