Well at the moment I'm at the Go-Fast Pit Spoot with Brett, how you doing? Good, how's the show going? It's been really good so far, we're only on day two and legs have been tired already but it's been a really good turn out so far. So how many years have you been presenting here?
We started in 2001, that was our first trip over here. I've only been two years out of that whole time so a bit of a veteran of the show and it's been really interesting to sort of change this man's market. We were here when the GC hit, so I've seen that went in the storm. So predominantly who do you sell to in America?
So we import through a single source, so in a cloud pass, I'm envisioning and they bring all of their stuff into the country and basically form the exchange rate and convergence. So customers in America can buy in pure stocks, at least they're not dealing with big expectations. So basically they act as our agents on the ground in the US. And I'm finding, talking to the various companies, they've also got their own style of dealing with the Americans and you've never thought of the currency, yours is the first company that's brought up a currency issue.
I mean sometimes it works in your favor and obviously goes up and goes down. Because there's lots of cheering because it's also, we sell Australian dollars to our reporter and then we sell some very involves. So basically they're taking the asset price and you look at it. I'm sorry I've had a lot of parts here, I know it's an audio show, but you can sort of spell out what some of them are.
Yeah, so the products for the market is basically turbocharger, peripheral, etc. So we do things like boost control, waste gates, a lot of valves. We're also getting into things like fuel pressure regulators and we still have some other products that we used to do for the Subaru's lightweight interpoints. Sure, for our shifters.
So we manufacture in our own CNC machine shop. So everything's designed to build an instrument. And I mean I'm not sure about things about Japanese cars but in America do you still have the big trucks here as well? Yeah, well that was a big before.
That's an interesting evolution of the market. So when I started with Earth Urban's in 2001, it was a fairly new company. I was in Subaru's, John the item was in Subaru's and that's how we met on the fashion. Yeah, back then it was 206, Scott and I.
And it's still going around too. Yeah, exactly. Then when we first started selling into the US, they didn't have WRCS. So the only turbos were kind of the JETW, VW, and the VW, and the Golf ones were rather than the actual thing with the 2011.8.
That was really the only turbos that I had ever been in any sort of thing. Yeah, it was the 2008. And then 2002 the WRC here. And at CMA what you notice is every year there's no year ago that year it was WRCS.
You're wearing debates and I reckon this year it's the Supra. And next year you'll be the new Corvette I think. So yeah, yeah, yeah. So we've seen the GT86 with that KV there, like everywhere.
That's it. What about Fast and the Furious? Do you think that's helped the American market realize that these other cars are just the A-C? Yeah, yes and no.
Because I kind of feel like Fast and Furious may have only fed to the culture that was into that in the first place. Okay. I don't know that the vehicle has really took that seriously and still it's down at a time. But I think we've noticed in the last say four years the kind of questions.
I think we got here talking to us on the blue line where we may have a perspective that quite a guy would have to be copyrighted. The more couples start talking about the copyrighted big coffee act. We turn us. Okay.
Okay. So we're going to turn those off. And if you've got the switch where you flick it and jump to the bridge you don't have that. But yeah, it's amazing what Turbo said just like that.
It's really has only been in the last four or five years. I don't know if it's been here but it's just absolutely good. But you've got over your hands as well before and the other thing is that the next one turbo 20 years ago was a hoon car sports car where now it's across the market. I think it's efficient.
It's a down-and-so efficiency. Exactly. It is. It makes us more ready to do big things.
Absolutely. Well, I mean, the popularity of Bob and Insta's Groux games is basically an LS for a really popular range of spots. I think I do. They put them in everything because they're rugged.
They make so much power. They're straight out of the box. Back home we're based in the city in Pekis. It's a world model.
The S-W-W-W-G-F-B.com.au. And we'll cut the end so you can see what production you've got. You can see what you've got. Then we'll call you in and have a discussion about what takes their cars and how you make their cars faster.
Yeah. That's it. Great. It's a pleasure.
Nice meeting you. And you're welcome to come on when you're back at home and talk some war stories as well. Thank you.
