#47 Breaking barriers with Digital Higher Education

from Let´s Staat - Inspirationen aus dem Staatsapparat · host Dr. Dorit Bosch

How to overcome barriers in digital higher education worldwide? My podcast guests are three outstanding personalities, who set new standards in their specific area of competence for - students who visit different universities, - researchers who do international research in different universities, - asylum seekers and refugees who try to access universities and the job market in a new country and - emigrants who decide wo work in another country. #Prof. Carlos Delgado Kloos from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is promoting the digital micro-credentials in Spain. For him this is the future of education. After the successful digitalization of knowledge, in his opinion the next steps forwards to a barrier free higher education are the digitalization of diplomas and the digitalization of community networks. #Aleksandra Zhivkovikj is a project officer for the European Quality Assurance Register/EQAR. EQAR sets European standards for synchronization of the Bologna Process in Europe and beyond. She thinks that international standards will be only possible when we learn to let go overcome technologies and learn from each other while searching for the best solutions for the future. #Navin Vasudev is program manager at the South African Qualifications Authority. His latest project is to facilitate access of refugees and asylum seekers to universities and the job market. He postulates a mindshift. Digitalization is about making people’s lives better. There must be a proof of impact for all technologies. This live podcast was recorded during the Moving Target Digitalisation Conference 2022 organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) alongside its many partners (Technical University of Munich, Hasso-Plattner-Institute for Digital Engineering) in Berlin https://www.daad.de/en/the-daad/what-we-do/moving-target/
