Born in Alexandria in 1958, Hana grew up as the daughter of a Lebanese diplomat, living in various countries including Egypt, Italy, Australia, Ghana, and Algeria. Frustrated by the stereotypical view of Lebanon, she embarked on a mission to unveil her country’s hidden beauty and rich heritage.Her acclaimed book, A Million Steps (2010), encapsulates this mission. Through a photographic memoir documenting her journey across Lebanon, Hana reveals the country's breathtaking landscapes from north to south. The book, now in its third edition, inspired a movement to preserve Lebanon’s hiking trails and reimagine its global image. Her latest project, Meelo!, delves into Lebanese culinary heritage, celebrating rural life and the natural ingredients that sustain it. Hana describes it as "a mosaic of small pieces that form the beautiful picture of Lebanese cuisine."Hana lives in Beirut with her husband Bassam and is the proud mother of three young men.
