47. Is fear of death keeping our lives small?

Today, I reflect on how the sudden death of my favourite cousin devastated me but changed my relationship with death in unexpected ways.Death is something that terrifies most of us. We’ve made it a taboo topic and something we spend our whole lives trying to avoid. How do we come to peace with the fact that we all die? What do we need to believe about our capacity to survive our own deaths and the deaths of our loved ones so that we can live fully? Birth/Life and death are made of the same stuff - both are sacred. How do we learn to honour death so we can become one with it as much as we choose to be one with life? Let’s speak about this most sacred of topics.I also share how letting go of Christian “Judgement Day” thinking helped me be so much less afraid of dying and more relaxed about how I live my life.
