47. National Park Mysteries 4: Santa Fe 1

from Infinite Rabbit Hole · host Jeremy Socha

Established on July 1, 1915 in northern New Mexico, the Santa Fe National Forest encompasses 1.5 million acres of beautiful and dangerous terrain. In the summer, temperatures averagely reach into the mid 80’s by mid day, making this a summer time destination for all who appreciate the outdoors. Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout attract fishing enthusiasts to the park's 620 miles of streams and lakes. Bighorn Sheep, Mule Deer, Elk, Black Bear, and Mountain Lions are all natural residents of the Park’s flourishing forests. But, as we’ve learned before, the National Park system has a darker side. One that’s shrouded in mystery, death, and strange occurrences that defy what we know about the world that we call home. There are over 13 thousand open missing persons claims in the National Park System and over 250 of those come from Santa Fe National Park. Some of these cases include stories that just don't seem to make sense without the involvement of the unnatural or unknown. And those are the stories that we explore on today’s episode, National Park Mysteries Part 4: Santa Fe. Welcome Back to Infinite Rabbit Hole! Rabbit Holes Podcast Rabbit Holes Podcast The internet is a weird and interesting place. Explicit Tales From The Rabbit Hole Mick West Tales from the Rabbit Hole is an interview-style podcast focusing on people whose lives have been affected by the conspiracy theory rabbit hole. Guests will include both former and current believers in a variety of conspiracy theories, as well as debunkers, skeptics, and the investigators of those theories. I’m Mick West, a debunker. I wrote the book Escaping the Rabbit Hole – How to Debunk Conspiracy Theories using Facts, Logic, and Respect. This book came from my experiences running Metabunk – a debunking forum. Over the years I realized simply presenting corrections to people is not enough. We need effective communication, and we can’t do that if we don’t listen to and talk with each other. I’m hoping this podcast will help bridge that gap. Explicit The Midnight Cinema Screening Unkn  Welcome to The Midnight Cinema Screening. This is basically the place where we hang out after midnight and talk about movies and TV shows that stuck with us… the good, the bad, the weird, and the ones that probably shouldn’t exist but somehow do. I also talk about true crime. If you love horror, cult classics, creepy shows, and the occasional random deep dive into something strange, you’re in the right place. Nothing here is super scripted or overly serious. It’s more like sitting around with friends after a late-night movie, breaking down what worked, what didn’t, and the moments that made you pause the screen and go, “Wait… what just happened?”Some episodes we’ll be reviewing movies. Some we’ll be talking about TV episodes. And sometimes we’ll just go down a rabbit hole about the weird history behind something we watched. So if you like late-night movie talk, dark stories, and conversations that feel a little unfiltered Explicit E Squared Podcast E Squared Podcast The E Squared podcast is hosted by Ethe1st and OnlyRandz.
