47 - Round Out The Meal

Luke 8:11,15 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God—... But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. There is a temptation in times of waiting. Impatience and the desire to find immediate comfort may lead to seeking out distractions as we try to escape the quiet, the unresolved, or the unfulfilled. Sometimes that’s ok. We may need the break. We may need to laugh and maybe have a bowl of ice cream, or two... My simple encouragement today is to make sure to round out the meal by also feeding on truth and tending the soil of your heart.
