47: Things I Wish I Would Have Known 30 Years Ago, Episode 2

from Why Did I Get Cancer? with Deborah Herlax Enos · host The Frequency Network: The Wave

47: Things I Wish I Would Have Known 30 Years Ago, Segment 2 I wish I had understood the healing power of joy, hope, and happiness. And the power of having an inner circle that believes similarly. But I know now! And I work daily to have more joy, happiness, and hope. Is that easy? Nope. I had to cultivate these emotions by setting up my day correctly. What does that mean to “set up my day” correctly? It means I no longer over-schedule myself; I spend time outside first thing in the morning and start my day “hanging out” with God and praying for my friends and family. I allow more margin in my day, which helps me keep my stress levels lower. According to Dr. Kelly Turner, almost all the Radical Remission survivors she interviewed mentioned doing these ten things to heal their cancer. These ten key healing factors for Radical Remission are, in no particular order: 1. Radically changing your diet 2. Taking control of your health 3. Following your intuition 4. Using herbs and supplements 5. Releasing suppressed emotions 6. Increasing positive emotions 7. Embracing social support 8. Deepening your spiritual connection 9. Having strong reasons for living 10. Exercise In 2023 I am very focused on number 6 on the list above! I loved my interview with Radical Remission author Dr. Kelly Turner. I re-listened to it and was reminded how happiness hormones can kill cancer cells. Here are some studies that she suggested for my listeners: Modulation of Anti-Tumor Immunity by the Brain's Reward System  Oxytocin and Cancer: An Emerging Link   This episode is sponsored in part by ButcherBox. I love using Bison! It's very nutrient dense and contains conjugated linoleic acid (I know, what the heck does that mean?), which means Bison has anti-inflammatory properties. Here are the other reasons why I love using Bison in place of ground beef: Higher amounts of omega three fatty acids. More b12, zinc, iron, and selenium than beef. Some studies show it's got four times the vitamin E compared to beef. Lower in calories and cholesterol. It is lower fat, so it will cook faster than ground beef. My friends at BB are offering a deal that they've never offered to anyone! I had to say "pretty please" a couple of times, and guess what? It worked! I can't tell you how long they will offer this deal to me, but here it is: 🦬 Free Bison for a year + $20 off your first box using code ENOS! 🦬 Sign up today at butcherbox.com/ENOS and use code ENOS to get this offer!   Connect with Deborah Deborah on Instagram Deborah on Facebook Deborah on Twitter WhyDidIGetCancer.com This podcast is for informational purposes only and none of the information should be construed as medical advice.
