Una marca social es una marca que nace para generar impacto positivo real (puede ser social, humano o ambiental) y utiliza sus contenidos, productos o servicios como vehículo para sostener una causa. Su propósito es el corazón de lo que hace, y su éxito se mide en dos indicadores simultáneos: Por un lado, la comunidad que es capaz de crear y, por otro lado, la transformación que es capaz de generar. Como ellas mismas nos han contado, Alma Salada nace a raíz de una pérdida de un ser querido debido a un tumor raro. A raíz de nuestro duelo por dar voz a casos tan extraños como éste, nuestro propósito fue en primer lugar que ella fuera la propulsora de esta iniciativa junto a nosotras pero dadas las circunstancias no pudo ser así.
