I have been following you for a couple of years and I’ve learned a lot, especially from your call-in shows, which always help me realize something about myself. I have thought about writing to you many times but have always been apprehensive about sharing so much online. However, I would love the opportunity to talk to you as I am going through a hard time. I’ve been very blessed in my life. I am a 23-year-old woman, I am healthy, I’m going to college in the US, and I have close friends and family who support me. Still, I have struggled with depression my entire life and have had many failures as a result of my bad habits. I lack motivation and direction and have persistent feelings of self-doubt and self-hatred. I have already dropped out of college once and I am struggling to keep up with my school work, I’ve never had a real job and don’t think I could maintain one, and I have problems forming romantic relationships.
