#476: Angry Bison & 5 Questions | OBB Benched | Feed Me Rubber Ducks

Instead of top players, big commits and preseason rankings, we're absolutely loaded with greedy owners, bad fighters, angy Bison and penis fires... welcome to OBB Benched! Ro's out this week, so Jenners, Toast, and Scoop turn Benched into a full five-questions gauntlet: five unhinged stories from the week, one debate after each. First up, the Carolina Hurricanes' Stanley Cup engraving controversy — owner Tom Dundon put his entire family's names on the top two lines of the Cup, ahead of staff who've been with the franchise for decades. That spirals into which pro franchise the guys would each buy if they had the money (spoiler: nobody wants 81 home baseball games). Then Conor McGregor's big UFC comeback lasts about a minute before a suspicious knee injury ends the night, which gets the guys arguing about the worst sporting events they've ever personally paid money to sit through. A grandfather at Yellowstone getting launched by a bison mid-photo-op leads into the show's best family legend stories — a pool full of roaches, a broom fight nobody in the neighborhood ever forgot, and a drive shaft that fell out of a car in the middle of the night. Kristin Cavallari's coach-class-for-the-kids, first-class-for-mom travel policy gets put on trial, Crumbl Cookie's new "dirty soda" gets dragged for having the sugar content of nearly 30 donuts, and the episode closes on a story out of Indiana that's genuinely hard to summarize — you'll just have to listen. OBB Benched is the offseason, off-topic companion show to Orange Bowl Boys, where no subject is off-limits and nothing is safe. 00:00 Cold Open: Intro & Ro's Out This Week 01:00 Five Questions Format Explained 01:30 Story 1: Stanley Cup Owner Engraves His Whole Family First 04:30 Question 1: If You Owned Any Pro Franchise... 07:00 Tangent: The Atlanta Hawks' Secret Celebrity Owner 09:00 Story 2: Conor McGregor's UFC Comeback Implodes 10:00 Did McGregor Fake the Knee Injury? 11:30 Question 2: Worst Sporting Event You Paid to Watch 14:00 Story 3: Grandpa vs. Bison at Yellowstone 16:00 Play-by-Play of the Bison Chase Video 18:00 Question 3: The Craziest Family Story 23:00 Story 4: Kristin Cavallari's Coach-Class Rule 29:00 Question 4: Best Lesson Your Parents Taught You 31:30 Tangent: Crumbl's Absurd Dirty Soda Sugar Content 36:00 Story 5: Indiana Man's Bizarre Arson Case 39:30 Question 5: Craziest Person You've Ever Known 42:30 Show Title Brainstorm & Wrap-Up OBB Benched, Episode 476 is presented by Paul Bange Roofing, Rapid Auto Lease, and BeatinTheBookie.com.
