48. Be Thou My Vision
from Hymn Talk Twin Talk Hosted by Kerrie Fraser and Kellie Tropeano
What a way to start 2022! Our first episode of the new year is all about praying for wisdom, guidance, and strength, and promising to put God first in all things. Our friend Emily requested this hymn and we are so thankful we got to learn about it. From St. Patrick in the year 433 to the churches of Ireland in 2020, we see that this hymn has a timeless message. Many hymn that utilize the old-fashioned language such as thee and thou have been lost or updated with contemporary language. We are so impressed that this hymn has been preserved all this time. God has a message for us all with this hymn. What is this hymn saying to you today?
