#48 - Feije Duim, gepensioneerde zendeling, nu student aan de kunstacademie (S01)

'Kunst en religie horen vanaf de prehistorie bij elkaar' In Onderweg praat Elsbeth Gruteke met Feije Duim. Na zijn pensionering dit jaar schoof hij weer de schoolbanken in. Na jarenlang actief te zijn geweest als 'zendelaar' voor onder andere Kerk in Actie ging hij naar de Kunstacademie in Groningen. Terwijl zijn klasgenoten alles nog moeten ontdekken heeft Feije jarenlang in Indonesië gewoond, was hij medeverantwoordelijk voor de Israël-Palestina nota van de PKN en reisde hij door het Midden Oosten om kerken in bijvoorbeeld Syrië te steunen. Eigenlijk wilde hij al meteen na de middelbare school naar de kunstacademie, maar toen werd hij niet toegelaten. Nu jaren later, is hij bezig met 'total art', conceptkunst, zeefdrukken en allerlei andere creatieve uitingen. Hoe gaat hij om met de grote leeftijdsverschillen, welke rol heeft geloof in zijn kunst en hoe kijkt hij terug op zijn jaren in het buitenland?
