48: I Overdrunk 2.2.2019

It's "The Big Football Game Weekend" in Atlanta, so we pre-game with a live stream of NFL Blitz 2000 for Nintendo 64. Thanks to all who tuned in. A good show this week and we kick-off with a trivia game. Michael and Cesar try to remember which PS3 titles had the original Spider-Man font boxart, and which ones got the more recent re-branding. Play along with us, and see how many you can get right. In news, February's Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus have been unveiled, Dr. Mario is headed to phones, Metro makes an Exodus to the Epic Games Store while PUBG attempts to broaden its player base, and Sony may have patented a much requested PS5 feature. In Games Played, Richard and Cesar play the greatest sports "sim" arcade football game ever made, and stream the hilarity that ensues. Cesar simulates walking through Virgina, and tries to escape the nightmare in Resident Evil 2 REmake. Michael is back and catching us up on the games he has put some time into. He solves the case of 428 Shibuya Scramble, flies through the skies in the Anthem beta, and shares his first impressions of Kingdom Hearts 3. We wrap up our Games Played with a spoiler-cast on our January GameClub game, What Remains of Edith Finch. We also delve into discussions on Godzilla characters, video game grass and Dragon Ball Z lore. We've upped our production values thanks to some new equipment and the talented artists at freesound.org.
