#48. Jonathan Martinez - Owning the Full Process, In life and Design

“ it's about who you become and becoming someone who you can be proud of “ Jonathan Martinez (@jmthecreative ) did not wait around for any moment to be just right, he's always done the best with what he’s got and remained patient for the next opportunity. JM like many of us decided that more education would help his future. The only problem was he didn't have a place to stay. He bounced around from hotel to hotel until it became too expensive. At this point most of us would have quit school but Jonathan took a different approach. He learned about “ homeless villages “ and set up camp where he lived until he graduated. Jonathan started by helping people design business cards and other creative tools to help with branding. As time went on he saw the need to expand into the digital world. He uses the same skill set and creative thinking but translates it to help people with UX design. ‘ in case you were wondering what UX or User Experience design is, A UX designer maps out how people interact with products and services, They map out the  what, when, where, how and who will use a product or service. This allows a brand or business to help target the right people, create a fun and engaging experience at all stages. Even working with others has been challenging do to a defective hernia mesh implant that causes chronic pain. He does keep him from working but it makes him choose how and what he works on more wisely. We go into many other things during the podcast like how to use peers for accountability, tools for staying connected over the web and new ways to avoid college debt while earning your education.
