from Shanghai Moms Chat

之后,她在网上发表了一篇题为《Shanghainese May Be A Dying Language, But It’s Not Dead Yet》(上海话或许正在消亡,但它尚未死去)的文章。 How many Shanghainese people living overseas still continue to speak Shanghainese? Recently, a Shanghai-born woman who grew up in the United States interviewed our podcast, as well as several other people who are still using the Shanghainese dialect. She then published an online article titled “Shanghainese May Be A Dying Language, But It’s Not Dead Yet.” Inspired by this, we, two Shanghai moms, wanted to dedicate this episode to talking about what Shanghainese means to us and how we can pass down this dialect. On this, Maomao has done an especially outstanding job. Tune in to hear more!  If you like this and want to hear more, subscribe to the show so you get a new episode every week.
