We discuss Danny's time in bands more rooted in thrash like Anthrax and Stormtroopers of Death, through his sonic journey of pushing boundaries in faster, more "extreme", bands like Nuclear Assault and Brutal Truth and how this book really puts you at the forefront of these burgeoning scenes in metal through the lens of Danny's stories and Dave tracking down fellow artists playing alongside or inspired by these bands to offer a first hand account of the impact this music was having on the music world. We also talk about the process of writing this book and how the experience was for each of them. For Dave how it allowed him to fill in some of the gaps of a scene he wasn't as versed with, and how he went about putting everything together.
