The Cubs sent three Hall of Famers (and Rick Sutcliffe) to the 1987 All-Star Game, and fifth joined as honorary coach. One of them was playing on a bad foot, one of them was in the midst of an MVP season, one of them should have won the Cy Young and the other guy ended up pitching more than anybody else in the game and wore the wrong batting helmet, both for reasons.
