49: 11 Questions with Kevin Nye

from 11ses · host Keela Dee

What is your Elevenses beverage of choice? Tell me a little bit about yourself and your story. Why do Christians need this book? You talk a lot in the book about leading relationally, and you often title sections after specific people rather than topic. Why is this story- or person-first approach important? What good and/or bad things have you experienced from sharing your experiences both in this book and in the writing you continue to do on social media and Substack? How has your story impacted your faith and vise-versa, how has your faith impacted your story? In what practical ways can we be loving our unhoused neighbors better? Do you have any practical tips, habits, or routines that help you live/tell/write a good story? Who else has a story that has impacted you, who you might love to hear share their story on this podcast? What books/movies/shows have inspired you personally, creatively, and spiritually? Is there anything you want to add or reiterate from our conversation? Where can we find you and your work? Kevin is a writer and advocate working toward ending homelessness by engaging best practices. His first book released in August of 2022 and is titled, “Grace Can Lead Us Home: A Christian Call to End Homelessness.” Kevin currently lives with his wife and son in Minneapolis, MN, where he works as Housing Director at an organization addressing youth homelessness.
