L’actualité nouvelle des mouvements contre les violences policières racistes s’inscrit dans un long sillage. En 1983, Toumi Djaïdja initiait déjà la Marche pour l’égalité et contre le racisme. En 2005, la mort de Zyed Benna et Bouna Traoré donnait lieu à des mouvements contestataires dans plusieurs villes de banlieue. En 2020, l’onde de choc transatlantique de la mort de George Floyd et le nouvel élan militant ravivé par le Comité Justice pour Adama Traoré revigore l’indignation contre les violences policières et raciales. L’ampleur inédite des mouvements antiracistes poussera-t-elle la France à prendre conscience de ses problématiques raciales ?
