#49: Aaron Giaouris | Twitch Streamer @ Twitch

In this episode we chat to Aaron Giaouris, full-time #streamer on the Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv) platform. For those that aren’t familiar with Twitch, this platform involves #ContentCreators streaming live video footage of themselves, in Aaron’s case, playing video games to his social media following. Streamers interact with their audiences live and are a big part of the growing e-sports industry. Following high school, Aaron completed a Bachelors of Commerce, majoring in Finance (Financial Planning & Commercial Law) at Deakin University (https://www.deakin.edu.au/course/bachelor-commerce). Later in life, Aaron completed a Master of Business Admin in Sports Administration through Torrens University Australia (https://www.torrens.edu.au/courses/sports-management/master-business-administration). Starting his career at Commonwealth Bank, then moving onto Westpac, Aaron works for several years in financial hardship and lending before moving into the #SportsIndustry, taking up roles in coaching and sports management. Aaron eventually found his way into the #AFL in early 2020, just before COVID struck. Aaron now intends to raise awareness of men’s mental health issues and the challenges social media poses to our next generation, particularly in the growing #gaming community through his Twitch channel and other activities.
