49: Chris Muneio: Investor, Restauranteur of Fern, Rancher at Ranchers Reserve: Regenerative Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Why sourcing Your Meat Locally is Best

from Holistic Health Heroes · host Kery Knutson

I have known for some time now that I need to up my game when it comes to sourcing my meat. I want to eat the healthiest choice I can find and I now know I can no longer rely on the "grocery store" (even the 'healthy'/expensive ones) for good, quality protein. Sure, I get what I can in Naples at our store Nature's Garden when I'm there but what about when I'm back on the East Coast? That's why I am so thrilled I was able to speak with Chris Muneio of Ranchers Reserve on this episode. Chris and his business partner decided to open a restaurant in downtown West Palm Beach, FL just a few years ago and one year later decided to become ranchers. Talk about making bold moves... mad respect! Ranchers Reserve is a privately owned, 85 acre cattle farm in Okeechobee raising wagyu beef and Berkshire pork. I was also thrilled to find out he is opening a butcher shop in Fall 2024 (of which, I'm sure to be a regular customer!). More big plans on the horizon for this entrepreneur and I can't wait to see what is in store. Thank you for being a creator of new things, Chris! And of course, for joining me as a guest.
