#49: Omicron: Molly Hatchet OR Muller’s Ratchet?

The big “O” variant is upon us, May’s got Covid and we repurposed a livestream!  Here comes Omicron. What does this mean for the winter, for your family, your job, your health, your mask supply?  There has been a lot of panic pushed by the media over this new variant. So what’s the truth? Is it Molly Hatchet and we’re “flirtin’ with disaster”?  Maybe it’s Muller’s Ratchet- where organisms accrue so many deleterious mutations that they push themselves into extinction. Or….. a whole pile of options in between. We give our opinions and interpretation of the emerging data with the underlying theme among experts being ,nobody currently knows where this is going to go.  Plus we are trying something new!  We repurposed a FaceBook live episode for this show, so it’s definitely got a raw/interactive vibe to it.
