(49) Snitching and Telling Secrets

If someone tells you personal information, may you reveal it to others without asking permission first? If an individual specifically asks you to keep it secret, is there any justification for then revealing that information? Why do people feel the need teel secrets to others? What is the danger of revealing or not revealing secrets? When must a person reveal confidential information? Traditional Judaism has addressed all of these very personal and everyday problems is a nuanced and sensitive manner.
