499: Three prayers we should be using | 1 Timothy 2:1

from One Verse Devotional · host Matt McCarrick

Prayer is powerful. It is how we communicate with God. But I take prayer for granted many times. Do you? In the book of 1st Timothy, the Apostle Paul is mentoring Timothy and, literally tells him to start with prayer, first. Have we forgotten the importance of prayer, today? I get so busy that I rarely find myself on my knees. Our One Verse, 1 Timothy 2:1, gives us three unique prayers that we should be investing in: petitions, intercession, and thanksgiving. Let's take some time to pray today: for friends, for family, for our leaders, and for the troubles and injustices in our world. But don't stop there. Let's also give thanks to God for all that He is doing (and will do!) in our lives. The One Verse Devotional Bible study is provided by Phosphorus Project.
