4th Friday Great Compline

The Order of Great Compline for the 4th Friday of the Great Fast, when it occurs during a week of Tone 3 and on the Eve of the April 13th commemoration of the Holy Hieromartyr Artemon.While it has become common in Greek recension churches (Greek Orthodox, Antiochean, Melkite, Romanian, etc) to celebrate Small Compline with sections of the Akathist on Fridays, the Slavic tradition (Ruthenian, Ukrainian, Russian, Belarusian, etc) follows the directives of the Triodion to do Great Compline (although simpler with less singing) with the Canon of the Departed in the Tone of the Week.As I had no time to record Compline Canons during this week of recording, please find the Canon of the Departed printed here at Matins of Saturday:http://www.st-sergius.org/services/oktiochos/3-7.pdfand the Canon of the Saint of the day here:http://www.st-sergius.org/services/Emenaion/04-13.pdfAs a reminder, there are now ways to support me in creating this podcast.
