So here's how it was Earth was used up so humanity found a whole galaxy other worlds the Terraform them that were closer to the center We're called the Alliance wait wrong voice over all right. Let's try that again take two alright. We're ready good It's a season of changes for the legends changing locale from star city and central city to Washington DC Changes from science and time travel adventures to ones involving unicorns and fairy godmothers and we're not talking about constitutes It changes in cast from tier two characters from some of the other DC TV shows to a new bunch of original characters from around the DC universe What hasn't changed is us? Matt kyle and I are still here.

We're giving you a great podcast about this show. We're not heroes We're not even legends, but what we are is straight out of the timeline right into your ears. I'm Bell And I'm this dad and this is legends TV talk gentlemen How are we doing today on this glorious podcasting recording day doing better than Nate's credit cards? 1953 Yeah For him to get a credit card don't you have to like even back down?

What was it you need a face or well? I mean like if the car was declined What was expired because it was expired back in 53? Okay, yeah cuz we have max the balance out on that thing in 53 like the like interest on that would be ridiculous and he would you know They would be they would throw him a debtors person for sure. Yeah, it's just it's it's it's it's a sandy That's crazy, but yes, we're not here to talk about credit.

We're here to talk about legends tomorrow. The greatest Yes, it's still your podcast so Bell cuz I didn't isolate last week, but I still wanted to oh Of course, it's it's the best Now you gotta take that out and you gotta sample that and then you gotta like you know We'll see that that's funny as you know, I get paid about as much as Nate does for what I do Same thing for this show though, you know, we make we make lots of money here. This is why I'm able to afford all of this fast luxury Anyway, enough financial complaints. I think it's time for history lesson For history lesson All right, here we go season four episode two witch hunt So was directed by Kevin mock and it was written by kido shimizu and Matthew mala.

Well, I was just what happens episode I was in purpentry The legends wire up the magical detection bones into the wave rider to allow them to track magical fugitives John joins the legends as a magical consultant with their first mission leading them to the Salem witch trials When an innocent woman is accused of witchcraft her daughter's fairy godmother attacks the townswoke Zari fights to save the mother who died in the original history while John and the legends try to Separate the daughter and the fairy godmother so that John can banish her to hell Once they succeed John offers the fairy godmother the chance to be her new magical conduit, but she refuses Yes, okay, but she refuses knowing that what's in store for him Nate discovers his father is overseeing the committee that funds the time bureau and struggles to prove that magic is real So the bureau will stay funded and open Eva offers native places the bureau and Nate accepts Okay, that seems like an inappropriate use of the dramatic shit Which is weird usually these things in with these like you know dramatic things and whatnot, but other We really a finger so much this episode no it ended with home Nate's gone. Yeah, it seemed kind of like a downer note But it wasn't necessarily a cliffhanger So I don't know it's and we'll talk about that a little bit But let's let's dig into it here We got some things that we have discovered First time ever in the entirety of the universe The first thing is that being a legend doesn't give you doesn't make you any money like you get no money So they're all broke and I guess it makes sense right because when you have a ship with a replicator on it from the future Yeah, yeah, it just makes everything that you need so but Nate does have those coins that he could potentially trade it and get money But that still doesn't help him in that case that's true now I have a question about that too right he got these ancient coins and If he goes in he takes them from like Rome or whatever brings them back here There's still you know, let's say they were minted a couple months ago in Rome He takes them back up here into our timeline. There's still only like a couple months old right so they're worth a hell of a lot of money But if they carbonated them like they would say that they were fake I mean that would just be worth I guess the the metal value as opposed to the actual relic belt So I'm wondering if If the legends have done here they take a bunch of artifacts bury them Yeah, I'm very limited wonder back in that's good. Yeah, that's a good way to make money Yeah, yeah, I mean that's not something.

That's like a that's like a beef time travel. Yeah, I think Yeah Being a bit we now know that Nate's dad also known as Papa Biff is the Director I was a department of defense. Yeah, he's an he's an overseer the one that grants the money Which I always thought we're just senators so he's a senator no He's just a guy in the Department of Defense and it's interesting too because I you know I didn't really think about the time You're being connected to the US government. Yeah, neither neither did I thought it was always just a separate thing that was just funded by itself.

Yeah, cuz what was it the Rips former organization the time masters. They were like independent of time But the time goes not even independent of the US government which is kind of odd right but apparently now the time Bureau is a part of the US government. Yes, and all of its failings just another thing that the US government owns Right So yeah, so we know that the Department of Defense is overseeing funding and because the legends were so successful last year in killing Malice they kind of fixed time and so the DOD is coming in they're looking to see if whether or not they can go ahead and Get rid of the department, I suppose. Yeah, and so that's our that's our B plot is that we know that Ava is trying to come up with Proposition to keep funding for the new matchable creature attacks that they have But so here's my question for you guys.

Do you think that we need the time bureau per se? I mean what would I aside from I guess the resources hidden the legends still just go on their own as they've done the last couple seasons And just fight these monsters by themselves. Oh, they could I have no I don't see them really meeting the time bureau and that's kind of where I thought like this would Like course correct itself where they would shut down the time bureau would bring Ava Gary on to the way writer Right, I guess they have to bring Gary, right? Gary put your people away No, you bring up a good point Kyle like that makes a lot of sense It's you know the time bureau is this thing where it's you know We're gonna have to keep splitting from the crew and the time bureau and because we you know they're bringing on Ava's a character They're bringing all these people's characters So it's like how do we reconcile that and how do we make that?

Functional and I was kind of thinking the same thing we're going to get rid of the time bureau and bring everybody on to the way writer But that doesn't seem to be the case as this B plot concludes We figure out that you know Nate sees first off at his dad pop a biff is this contractor and You know they have an awkward dinner beforehand, and so they're not really happy with one another and So he's got to find proof of magic and so of course they go on to the ship and then Nate finds Two of our characters have been transformed into pigs by a fairy godmother Interesting because now we know that a fairy godmothers are really irreversed and B so are fairy tales because the fairy godmother specifically references Anushir and Cinderella What else did she reference she referenced a couple other fairy tales? I thought well the big one was Cinderella because she talked about you know glass slippers. I mean dealing with the blisters alone Yeah, we're gonna just like a path to where glass slippers But yeah, so that's that's that's that's an interesting thing there and I kind of ties in with our a plot Which was this whole Salem witch trial? And as we all know there's there were a couple lots of people that were burned or hung really I think it was for being Which is back in the 1600s in Salem, Massachusetts and one of them just happens to have a daughter who happens to have a very godmother And that's where all this craziness goes about now.

My question here is Where did she get this very godmother? Yeah, I was kind of thinking the same thing Yeah, I guess just like they're showing up in time wherever in this very godmothers like hey look here's an opportunity to like attach to a girl and murder people Yep, I don't think there's any other reason to explain it. I think it's just quote a quote timing. Yeah, yeah You know legends and legends we got explained Yeah, yeah, and I gotta beat those out Make sure you use the epic real time duck quack Or yeah, we're gonna talk about that works But yeah, so the fair godmother is it turns out that she has been Twisted by helping people with all these like selfish requests and she wants to just kill humanity for imprisoning her now Do we get an idea of how she got in prison?

I didn't I don't recall them saying anything about it But apparently they trapped her humans did somewhere somehow and for what reason I don't know do they mention that? Did they go into details on that or was it just kind of throw away sort of like yeah Yeah, they said oh humanity imprisoned you, you know, it's like oh Getting older stop believing in magic, you know We didn't clap our hands or whatever to make Tinkerbell ear wings, right? Yeah, well well So yes, so now she's pissed and she wants to enact revenge and so she's using this little girl and preying on her I Guess you think her weakness and her you know Brashness and not thinking clearly and all that kind of stuff in order to take advantage of her to kill these people And what's funny is that it seems to me that Zara or Zari sort of has the same problem And it's because it all it all leads back to the the medic human act of 2033 which on them yeah, yeah, and it kind of goes to show you that if you don't deal with your inner demons You may become one which I think is kind of the theme of this episode Sorry has a bunch of oh go ahead no go ahead. I was just gonna say this I mean if we're gonna keep talking about sorry, that's great But I think it should be mentioned it's not in our notes I mean the Zari and the actress who played her this week I mean if we were to give awards for like best performance best character This was definitely her deal like she just she ate it up.

She was believable She was she showed a range of depth that we haven't seen in this character before really Yeah, I would say like the the time loop episode Well last year that was another one of her like strong episodes Yeah, okay, I can agree with that but she did she just she came in and she just ate it up and she did you know She actually made me care about one of these original characters Which I mean I'm not gonna lie if I've been struggling with like you know Nate and Nate I could deal with cuz I mean he's got a DC you know in that malcomation and I get that she's red tornado and Black Adams. She was supposed to be like Isis. Oh, yeah She's supposed to be like that but she has the powers of tornado like I look at what she was doing this week was all red tornado Was the you know making cyclones was red tornado slash cyclone from JSA So I mean it just she but the actress herself she did she made the whole thing believable And I really I dug the performance I just you know want to throw that out there Yeah, no Really good job, and I thought you know kind of drives home the the theme of this episode is it like you know these? With her when I was always talking with Sarah, you know I think or Sarah I guess is talking with Zari at the end there It's you know It's this this idea of like if you don't deal with the problems that you have like the troubles that you have on the inside They're gonna bubble out and usually you're not gonna like how that how the result is and so yeah We see that was already how you know She's got a lot of this pin up you know aggression especially at just seeing her mother last episode in 2018 because you know her family is You know rounded up and executed and because of that new weird totalitarian government thing that happens And so because of that she sees the ignorance of the townsfolk and their you know unwillingness to kind of think Seconds and so she decides to kind of like take it on her own and just I don't know all of these people Which is kind of what the very godmother wanted to do in the first place But she isn't as good at it as the very godmother and it's captured I guess it's probably because you know her her conscious kind of takes over there at the end because she did it very easily just wasted all those people It's because she it's it got her like she's a hero and not a killer yeah Conscience yeah, Mick would have just gone in there and she roasted everybody I feel Yeah So that results in her getting captured and we have another Point before that before the trial where Zari goes in and tries to rescue the accused witch and she refuses to leave the prison And you know she's got a very interesting take on that and she uses the Bible verse what Jesus says to the Romans as he's being crucified forgive the father for they know what they do and That was you know, that's your classic like civil disobedience kind of kind of response there I really liked it.

What did you guys think about that whole prison scene? Were you thinking that she was gonna actually take up on it and run out of there or she was gonna stand her ground as a proper Puritan woman Standard ground no, I think she was gonna fight but then yeah She got the better of herself and needed to correct the course. Yeah Yeah, I think that was a really because I mean she knew that she was being wrongly imprisoned and she knew you know What everything the result of that was going to be but you know in effort to protect her daughter She chose the high ground in that situation which was which was really neat to see You get used to these stories about people coming in and rescuing the you know heroin whatever but you know in this situation that wouldn't have gone over well Just yeah, it would have been bad news for everybody. Oh, where do you hide?

You know, there's 13 colonies where you going? Yeah, yeah, I mean I guess you could go and try to hang out with Native Americans and hopefully they don't Turn you over over there. Let's yeah Well, I mean, you know, there's some other Native American tribes are friendly to those colonists and some that weren't I mean We have the first thing skidding here not too long ago, right? I don't know maybe I don't remember where's they need him I know right we are an historical person here But But yeah, so we end up a very good mother comes out and with now Zari and the little girl's mother going to be burned I'm because it's always outburst.

It's very godmother shows up and also Did you guys notice when they were burning them at the stake the way the camera angle had it? They had like the burning pyre in front of yeah I'm like oh they put it right under the camera and they're standing 40 feet behind it. Yeah Clever tricks. Well, it's a game of thrones.

I saw came with them through the same thing when they killed a Man's Raider. Oh, yeah, I'm probably sure he's to you Let's see here. So so yeah, we have our you know our climactic battle scene here They bring the daughter on to the ship to try to keep her safe But the very godmother convinces her to go ahead and read all these dudes So they show up at the giant witch hunt thing an actual witch hunt not a fake witch hunt And the very guy mother ends up training place or she rescues Zari and the girls mother and puts up I guess the it was a pastor or town leader. I think it's a pastor right?

Yeah, I think it was like that right? Yeah, yeah Like freezes time that was kind of cool And puts the reverend up there, but my question is this though I'm trying to remember exactly what happened at the end, but they don't burn him to death, right? No This is life. Yeah, who gets burned though because Okay, that's the thing though at the beginning.

They said there wasn't a way to save the mother without screwing up history, right? Plot holes my welcome legends real time But that's that's I had a theory here, okay, and It's it's I'm wondering if this season they're going to make all of these errors and Like they like the writers know the writers are aware that they's Contradicted themselves in this episode by not having you know the accused which die and you know Therefore the timeline will now be slightly off and I wonder if that's what's going to be the impetus for season four So we have more stuff to fix time for sorry season season five, so we have more stuff to fix next season. What do you think? I choose to actually go with the more likely assumption which is They forgot in the writers room somewhere between the beginning of the day and the end of the day that they had to kill somebody They just were kind of like we're hoping you forgot to yeah, look the government of the week That is what we need a bumper for by the way, but the other day we need a bump We need a Charlie Bach if you're listening bumper for my cup another week.

Yes. Yes. What was the government of the week? pigs Think you're right.

I think you're right Because yeah change how is this gonna make him change Nate really just making just bouncing him up and down? Yeah, I don't understand that I was kind of like and you know we could talk about that part too I mean we haven't gotten there, but Nate apparently understands pig It's the universe translator that they also want back from season one. Oh, okay Yeah, no that makes sense, but yeah, no So so basically what we have here is our a&b plots collide because as the legends on the a plot are trying to defeat the very godmother She has turned Mick and Ray into pigs on the ship as an attempt to escape and so Nate sees that the legends are battling some Magical thing they find Nate and because the universal translator as Kyle so In like me about because I was thinking about how does he understand pig but yeah makes perfect sense now So Nate tells him or Ray tells Nate that they are in fact battling a godmother and everything will be okay soon So I guess his assumption is that he'll grab them go present pig rape to his dad and Hopefully the legends will defeat the fairy godmother and break the spell Just before his dad leaves I don't know I don't know what you guys thoughts on that I seem like a really weird way to prove magic when like you have John Constantine and the finger bones of the saint and like all this other Stuff you can do why bring a pig? But Constantine wasn't available and the pig was Ray and Ray was the closest thing that Nate could get to prove that magic is real I can see that it's still I'm with I was I mean I'm gonna pull the curtain back on this.

I did not enjoy this episode very much I thought it was acted well I thought it was there was good stuff But it really other than you know and I know it's episode two and I know you're trying to get your season in order And they've made a lot of changes that I think will bring up in speculation, but the fact is it's Yeah, like it's shoddy writing the whole pig-proof magic when you have a an entire room full of you know Stuff that he could have brought it said look it's magic even though it's a ray gun You know it's any number of things any what happened to that what happened to the totems the totem could approve in it Yeah, the totems all went back to some basic. Okay. That was at the end of three. I just think they could have done more Yeah, I think they're looking for an opportunity for Nate to like hold up Ray as he was naked Maybe by the way Ross gave us an explanation here.

Oh, they will have faked your death in the records, okay? Okay, yeah, yeah, I mean I guess I guess that's acceptable I mean the town people would know still and I guess they'll just let the secret go to the grave with them, but Yeah, no, just the episode to me just felt a little too It was a lot of shoddy right it was almost like a grant Morrison writing of it It was just like I'm gonna write down and say things happen and I'm gonna let you the viewer reader decide exactly how it happened I'm not gonna tell you but yeah, it just it didn't feel coherent or cohesive to this week at all It was just kind of yeah It was it was interesting because a lot of times we have these kind of cheesy corny episodes with a clever Yeah, and this one didn't feel as clever as some of the other ones have in the past But yeah, you know here. We are at the end. You know the fairy godmothers defeated Salem is saved The Department of Defense gives Eva how much money?

Three billion a year three billion a year four point two billion a year yeah, and And Nate and Ray and Mick and you know, they're all like turn back into normal stuff And we see that at the end of the episode first off we got to see a central city CPD versus time-dural softball game. It's got to happen. Yeah I mean that's what Ray like you know, you finally get some clothing That's what he managed to put on was a time-dural, you know, softball championship Jersey or sweatshirt or whatever, but um, yeah, I think they should most certainly Have a crossover for that like just that just that not not any other stuff not like you know else worlds We're not that just a crossover where it's you know team team flash team arrow in the legends And I guess team supergirl always play softball Just one time and no it's not an entire season of that Sounds like the X-men to me they do the softball team all the time and then they say no powers and then you know Somebody uses their powers. Oh, they use their power.

I Mean it's gonna happen But and so we're left here at the end with you know, Nate Opens up a little time portal thing so that Ray can go back to the ship raise like lunch come with me Nate's like I'm gonna hang out here because he got a job offer from Eva to work in the In the in the bureau And so it's kind of weird to me and I wanted to hear you guys's opinion on this to have Nate who is a legit Bonafide superhero with metal skin who would probably be useful fighting actual match monsters for him to take a more It seems like administrative role with the bureau What did you guys think about that? There's two things from the from a plot standpoint it puts him in a position to I Think to be you know to give us a reason to go back to the time bureau It you know puts him into a bit of an administrative role with over Sarah Which could lend itself to writing some stories where Nate's giving orders to Sarah and she's like, you know Dude you were like my guy like a month ago Then there's the other side of it, which is it's probably also very expensive to do the ray effect like firestorm and well If we put ray at the time bureau, we don't or not right Nate if it's not here We don't have to do the steel skin thing very often. Yeah So that's that's actually more my thinking is that they're probably it's probably what it is and you know Then we could again We'll talk in speculation about like direction the seasons going but I kind of wonder if their budget got cut this year. Yeah Well, I think I think you're right well, I think it's time for some speculation on this very point So earlier how we have thought that perhaps Moving Nate to the time bureau could have been a way to you know keep time bureau a reason to cut there You know to keep a man the loop to keep oh My gosh Gary in the loop Gary.

Yes. Thank you But you know like we you know there's another possibility there where you're thinking we're perhaps okay Well the time bureau folds and then those characters join the wave writer But it seems like they're going the prior route which is to have a reason to go back to the time bureau We got this funding thing and so and Nate said yeah Yeah, they brought an entirely new character for this they move the time bureau from star city over to Washington DC And you know is this is this are they trying to move the legends out of the main era So they're trying to like you know distance and cells from that and kind of have this be like not necessarily I mean else world is a bad a bad term since we're cross-road is gonna be that but like a like an other verse kind of like What if sort of universe here? What do you guys think they're trying to pull here? I don't think so I think it's just that they wanted a change of scenery and a new set I Don't I still think they're part of the main Continuity lack thereof, but I don't think they're trying to distance themselves I mean with the with the crossover.

Yes, but not with not with the whole rest of the show Okay, I just agree. I kind of think they are I think they're you know I think by moving them out of star city because I think we think about it when we started season three last year We mentioned we're like okay line of hell didn't flashpoint impact the legends You understand every time the legends make a change you know the next legends make a change to the timeline that you know And you know and say the time you're okay to tact by monsters, you know Like they'd have to sit there and acknowledge on arrow that you know all of a sudden there were a bunch of these monsters down Down so you know I I kind of I'm not so sure I think they kind of wanted to put them in their own sandbox and I do I think they're pulling completely out of the Arrowverse no, maybe You know but I think they kind of want to have the ability you have any showrunner to and she might have been like you know Hey, this is this is a hot time me a little bit So let me take this to its own place where they can do their own thing and especially if you're not gonna put them in the crossover Yeah, and they focus more on magic and really nobody else is dealing with magic That I'm aware of like you know, it's yeah, I think they are I think they're trying to separate them a little bit put them in their own thing You know other series will still use them whenever they have to deal with the time thing They'll be like hey, let's go find the wave rider and put excess in it. Yeah, but yeah It's just my thing and again, I think they like Papa Biff be you know Being a guy and so putting him there and I say keep Tom Wilson there as long as you can yeah, I agree Yeah, I think I agree if you will it doesn't seem like they're trying to remove them from the arrowverse It seems like they're trying to distance themselves ever since they introduced flashpoint and they introduced the fact that you know Time travel can have ramifications down the line. We now have speed So they can time travel and the legends can time travel and so like do we want stuff happening on legends affecting every other show in vice versa It just it seems yeah, I think you're ready It seems like a giant pain in the ass for the writers that's like you know deal all that kind of stuff together And so I think it makes sense to pull them out I hope it wasn't like what you were saying earlier about how they have a smaller budget and And you know this I do think that's part of it.

Yeah, I think they I think they have to have a smaller budget Don't I mean they've got another show already with black lightning that wasn't there a year ago Yeah, they have another and now now they're everybody's talking about how the crossover is a backdoor pilot for batwoman. So It's it's unfortunate to be quite honest with batwoman if batwoman is successful and them not being in the crossover I will not be surprised to hear at the end of the season that they're done and they're gonna go another way Yeah, and then we're gonna have back over yeah, I think they'll use batwoman instead and that woman you know you know You know I don't know I hope I'm wrong, but I mean it's just kind of a little yeah Yeah, I mean that that is a good point me with black lightning and with batwoman on the horizon Which I mean that they why else would they bring her on if not for a back or pilot with the Right No, no, I was just saying they said they've come right out and say it said it that if she's successful I was a good She'll have her own show. Yeah, so I mean for lengthy is he has arrow flash legends black lightning Riverdale Sabrina he's he's got a lot of shows on so I could see them Maybe wanting to start fitting the herd But I mean if he does if they do put out batwoman and they say and say they replace batwoman or they replace legends with batwoman It's still the same model shows so I don't know I think all these shows are very successful for the CW I don't think they're they're looking to get rid of everything yet. I mean I think right I think Unfortunately for for Bell flashes got lower lower ratings than arrow and black lightning really men really Arrow our flashes beginning lower ratings.

Yeah, huh? Anyone arrow would have lower Pretty well with ratings and which I'm but I'm but we I mean legends is also getting lower ratings But which I'm surprised about because it is right after legends, but you are also going up against Monday night football too And that's about it. Yeah, I forgot about supergirl. He's got super girl too super girl on Sunday.

Yeah. Yeah I mean so why the movie Sunday like that's they did a lot of schedule shifts this year they did because because Arrow used to be on Thursday They're all there's Thursday Arrow used arrow started on Wednesday Then it moved to Thursday last season with Supernatural then it moved to Monday and then that shifted supergirl from Monday Sunday flash stays on Tuesday black lightning was the mid-season Takeover for legends. So that was on Tuesday and legends moved to Monday and now it's it's where it's at Yeah, and I think they wanted to anchor the Sunday lineup because I think if I'm not mistaken This is new for them. I don't think they've had Sunday shows on seat.

No, I don't think so So it would make sense that they would take one of the shows and anchor it You know like like UPN did was you know, we're gonna put star-trunk words You're on this one and no one can see it ever and you know same thing with the CW or with CBS doing it on the all-access I mean it you take a known commodity and you put it on You know on a new night or a new idea absolutely go for it and supergirl's probably the best one to do that with How's she been doing though? I mean it's from from what I've heard like mainly from a supergirl TV talk is that They're I mean they're even going up against like football and their and their ratings have been I've been about the same as a real Monday so so them switching days really didn't make a difference But their ratings stayed well pretty much the same well, I think that could be explained too But you know the target audience for supergirl is probably not watching you know a bunch of both layers Yeah, they're not choosing between supergirl or football like they were gonna watch supergirl regardless Right, right and I mean those and as far as I know they haven't I mean I can I can look up the numbers for like all these shows and tell you But that's what Google is for right, but I'm just totally going out of I just realized I better check my fancy lineup But go on But no, I think I don't think anything shows are literally on the can right now They're all still pretty strong. I mean it is like for legend It's only episode two for flash at sub so five so I mean it's just the beginning of the season It's not it's not time to think about cancer these shows yet and honestly I think flash has been doing pretty good this year everything that I've seen that's far I've enjoyed Well except for this most recent episode where they introduced meta tech which I thought was gonna dumb Yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll have to we'll have to see what they do with that. I'm I'm gonna remain optimistic, but we'll see But yeah, you know, we'll you know, you mentioned it earlier This episode really wasn't the highest caliber that we've seen thus far and I don't necessarily think that's a bad sign for this season But yeah, I'm just hoping that you know, this is just a one-off kind of things I we had a couple one off bad episodes last season for the most part of the entire season was just solid But yeah, so we'll have to see what happens next week and where we go from here But I'm looking forward to seeing what this you know after the Fray Godmother refused to be Constantine's conduit because she knows What the you know big bad coming for him is I'm kind of curious to see where they're gonna go with that It looks to be interesting so well, let's check it out and we got a lot of episodes ahead of it So we'll see but we're no flashes on hiatus Election right because the election really I voted I voted Yeah, well, you know, there's some places that actually have same day voter registration I just all think I California was one of them a lot DC So you go to liberal states in the beginning you get hit well, of course because the other states like you know, like Georgia the crazy stuff It's going over there.

Holy crap. Yeah, but you have to like actually, you know produce a dead body of your grandmother to pursue. Yeah. Yeah, yeah Politics TV talk here, but yeah, everybody's here to go vote the fly says can be honest.

Don't use to not go vote Just go vote But yeah, we'll see what happens with legends then so it's gonna be it's gonna be interesting and of course that was our time for speculation And now it's time for our favorite portion of the show and then And that is a mix a quarter of a week All right, we got a couple quotes here college take it away Get out of my chair you weasel watching football Oh, like here it's a donut That was the one who's giving that to the daughter of the Yeah, I Don't know I kind of like here to donut just because it's yeah If you were from you know the past and like you see it's on an iPad You can't be crush So so my votes for here to donut will you second that yes Kyle what's your vote? That's a donut all right. We'll take it away Here it's a donut all right, and that was our mix quarter of a week and now we have a new well It's not a new segment we've had before but we have a new bump for it and this is our second favorite No, no, no, we'll give a second favorite to Ross This is our third favorite portion of the show Nate's quarter of the week Now it's time for the Nate All right, so I have three or two quotes here. He had it he had interesting ones I don't know if this will continue though because let's face it.

He's not around as much after might be we might have to change it to the Nate or Gary quote of the week yeah, cuz I mean he's gonna be taking on more of a serious role it seems Yeah, so there'll be less time for shenanigans unfortunately, but yeah, we'll we got we'll figure it out. Okay, so first one Okay, remember the three sees a pitching confidence charisma and oh crap It's my dad which by the way funny because I watch it again and he says Gary has all the three sees confidence charisma and Gary Goes crap and stuff poster to And then earlier on in the episode number two was I forgot my leftovers. Yeah, that was good I think I think I got to go with number one though. River the three C's.

Yeah, I mean as well So remember the three C's a pitching confidence charisma and crap. It's my dad Yes, yes And now Behold a new bump for all of its glory our second favorite portion of the show and that is the Ross review And now it's time for the Ross review That was pretty wicked pretty wicked bump. I must say thank you guys if I do so myself I did it all completely myself. I had absolutely no help.

No, you know, I played it on a Texas instrument keyboard I used a kazoo so thank you Charlie Bach for all of your love you Charlie Yes Samclo.com slash Charlie Bach check out yes, all right So Ross the road is in this week mostly because we actually I think on Twitter didn't we all like yell him to the wall? Yeah, we shamed him And Ross is listening right now The international it's a subbell subbell Yeah, that's me all right, so Ross wrote in and said ah what did the hell is this? He said what in the Disney hell is this which was the best line in the episode by the way? Is like describes the episode perfectly and I loved it so much humor awesome special effects and a catchy musical number as well Which we did not discuss by the way did We should have but what are you gonna do or we all want to go watch football?

I like that they set the up I like that they set the episode in 60 92 the year before will was born and the year before Sarah was sent to say love in season two although I thought I would have been a good callback to see Sara acknowledging some of the female villagers who she corrupted wink wink No Wow. Wow. That's better way to do that. I like the theory she talked about last week that a big bad for this season could be Nurgle, the demon that took Astra or Manny the Angel.

Two people that nobody knows anything about because seven people watched a concert. Eight that was maybe. Ross watched it too apparently. Oh, eight.

Yes. Well, and sorry, that part was me adding in. The fact that the fairy godmother seems to know who's after Konstantin and the message in the mirror does point to someone from his past. And I can agree with that.

I just don't care. I don't know much about the Konstantin Helplazer comics, especially on a specific villain. Some speculation of my own. I wonder if Zari will discover a way to save her mom by season's end.

Spoiler alert, no. Either that or find a better way of keeping her amulet on. True. How many times has she's been subdued or defeated by simply taking off her amulet?

It kind of is the green lantern powering. Like you take it off and she's kind of like, all right. Well, now what? Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. And also, I wonder if we'll see Nate and Papa Biff reconcile as Nate reveals how he met his grandfathers in the 50s and talks about his life as a superhero with the JSA. Also, what did Nate become animal man and could understand what Ray was saying?

There you go. Ross and Iron agreement. We've just figured it out there. Yeah, we did.

Universal translator. Yeah. So and I'm looking forward to next week's episode with the team in London in the 70s. I wonder if we'll get some more of Constantine's backstory.

Of course we will. I also want to hear your thoughts on the Constantine City of Demons animated movie or whether or not you could consider it candid in the DCW universe. So look forward to this. Quickly, I'm going to say something about the CW animated shows.

They cannot be candid because none of them work within the timeline going. I don't disagree. And again, I think we talked about this last week with me with Constantine. My issue with they bring Constantine's villains into this is, again, it's a show that nobody saw.

Like it just it don't seem right. But anyway, so he's looking forward to the next podcast, State Classy guys. Then he sends us a PS. I love my music bump.

Thanks, Charlie Bach. Sorry again for not posting your view last week. My bad. I was stuck in the hospital eating Kurds and what never might have been.

He said I'd post your view last week, my bad. PSS, which stands for others. Too many jokes there. Just out of this now with all the technology of the time bureau or even the wave rider, why didn't Gary just get a new nipple made?

That's a very good question. I want the same thing. You know, they can travel into the future to an area where I'm sure plastic surgery is like really easy. You know, in and out, kind of like they just put some paste on you and you grow a nipple.

So I don't know. That's a good question. Do you need one though? At the end of the day, he's fine.

Yeah, he should be fine. Well, anyway, Ross. Thank you, Ross. Thank you very much.
