5/14/2023- Ep 5.2: "Bread"

The first three petitions of the Lord’s Prayer lift our gaze upward to the glory of God. The fourth petition, “Give us this day our daily bread”, bring us inward to our physical needs. Our Father in heaven wants us to know that provision comes from his hand and wants us to pray specifically for it. This petition also stretches us outward, as implicit within it is a commitment to be used by God to be answer of this prayer for others. We are also ask for trust that God will provide for us tomorrow and we are given Jesus himself, the “bread of tomorrow”. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
