5.22.19:Denver's Utopian Dream-Suing Trump-The State of America Today

from The Americhicks · host The Americhicks

Welcome to the Americhicks podcast. Kim Monson is your host - Agree or disagree, let's have a conversation! Visit the Stand for Colorado website (standforcolorado.com) to view videos of the individual speakers from the May 10th Stand for Colorado event. Denver has a dream. A Utopian dream. The city is attempting to do away with single family housing (tinyurl.com/y69wax4c)? There is already an obvious attempt to get us out of our cars and onto mass transit, is the next step to push us into apartments, duplexes, and other multi-family units? A new Denver plan for parks will mean less available land available land for individual ownership and an increase in city owned property. The pursuit of this Utopian dream does not simple limit choices, it is elimination of choices. It is an effort to control people, how they get from place to place and where they live and how much space they have to live in. Colorado State Attorney General Phil Weiser will sue the Trump administration in challenge to a new conscience rule issued by the Trump administration which allows health care workers to refuse to provide services that violate their conscience or religious morals. There is a plan to strip illegal immigrants of housing aid. Orson Swindle served as an Assistant Secretary of Commerce in the Reagan administration. He also served as a Commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission. Orson was also a North Vietnamese Prisoner of War for six years four months and shared a cell with Senator John McCain. Orson joins Kim to share his perspective on what is happening in America and how to address the challenges we face. ________________________________________________ Copyright 2019: The Americhicks W/Kim Monson Visit us at www.americhicks.com To have someone contact you about advertising on the radio program, the podcast, or the Americhicks website visit:www.americhicks.com/contact and fill out the form.
