This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday – a celebration that goes back thousands of years, deep into the Old Testament. We’ll look more at the history of this particular celebration and what has happened over time to make it what it is today. We’ll see and hear how the plan was always to transform this celebration to be so much more than it was originally – but that’s how the Lord always works! We’ll be transitioning from our Easter series, Words to Live By, into our new summer series, Life in the Spirit: It’s Complicated.In the meantime, keep working on memorizing and putting God’s Word in your heart, especially this passage from last Sunday – “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
