5/29 - Department heads speak out against stripping Finance Department of authority

Two department heads and the County Commission Chair speak out against Paula Carson's proposal to remove spending authority to the Finance Department over already allocated and approved expenditures.  I agree with the Commission Chair that this is a personal agenda, and that commissioners seeking a way around the Open Meeting Laws to meet and approve expenditures without proper notice and posting will open the county up to State sanctions and possible State Oversight...again.
