#5 Back On Track: Natasha Cockram

from Anything but Footy · host Anything but Footy

In this episode, Olympic hopeful Natasha Cockram describes how at the start of 2020 she left her home and job in Wales to re-locate to Norfolk in an attempt to represent Team GB in the women's marathon in Tokyo. Despite the set backs of the year - lockdown forcing the cancellation of many events which natasha aimed to compete in to earn a living and picking up an injury, Natasha became the British Champion in London in October. She narrowly missed out on the Olympic qualification time in 2019, but is hopeful that the right race and the right conditions mean she will achieve the mark that will allow her to compete in Tokyo in 2021. This is Back On Track from Anything but Footy. The podcast series where we speak to Team GB and Para GB athletes preparing for Tokyo 2020 in 2021. Hosted on Acast.
