The first thing I want to say is copywriting isn’t as complex or scary as many make it seem to be. With that said, if you want paying clients, you’ll need to either hire a copywriter or learn how to write copy yourself. The bad news is that a good copywriter is extremely expensive to hire (you get what you pay for). The good news is that writing copy is more of a science than an art. Understand the science and the rest takes care of itself. At the end of the day you can think of copywriting as the science of using words to sell your programs / coaching / products. That includes words on your website, words in your emails, words in your videos (think video sales letter), or even words in your blog post and social media content. Although I spent years studying copywriting (okay okay, I admit it. I’m a bit of a nerd), it really doesn't have to take years or even months to get good at it. If we can just understand some of the basics that make up copywriting and apply them to your copy right now, you’ll have a much easier time turning your ‘readers’ into ‘clients’. In today's episode I want to take my top 5 top copywriting tips that, when applied, are more than enough to get you well on your way to converting website visitors, facebook followers, email list peeps, or even youtube subscribers into actual paying clients.
