5 - Fiona Dunn - From nurse to midwife in my 40 year NHS career

In episode five of Someone's Gotta Do It, I sit down with Fiona Dunn. This year Fiona celebrates 40 years working in the NHS. From operating theatres, to intensive care, to the moment a simple white lie saw her retrain as a midwife.She talks about what it really takes to become a qualified midwife, the relationships she builds with the women she supports, and the switch  between caring for people who are ill and caring for people who are not ill but simply bringing new life into the world.Forty years, thousands of lives and one funny and remarkable woman.Fiona has helped so many families over the years and has been a huge part of my own children’s lives so a special thank you goes to Fiona.
