#5 - Invasion of Ukraine & Morality in Times of War | Akira Asakhi

In this episode of The Jeffrey van Leeuwen Podcast, I sit down with Akira Asakhi, who left Russia shortly after the Ukraine invasion. This conversation is part personal diary, part reflection on the horrors of war and the transformation of Russia into a totalitarian regime. Akira takes us through the early days of the war, his last day in Russia, the decision to leave, and his journey to Bali, Indonesia. We explore deeply complex topics like the perversion of reality, the impact of propaganda, and the subjugation of human rights. Akira shares his thoughts on the nature of evil, the moral consequences of war, and the ongoing struggle for truth and freedom. This episode contains explicit content, including descriptions of war and the immense suffering it has caused. Akira’s story is both a warning and a call to action, urging us to reflect on our moral responsibilities as a global society. Tune in for an intense, necessary conversation about freedom, responsibility, and the future of our civilization.   CONTACT LINKS: If you'd like to be on a future episode: https://t.ly/qoasL   PODCAST LINKS: Podcast Website: https://podcast.jeffreyvanleeuwen.com/ Apple Podcast: https://apple.co/4lLpEXA Spotify: https://spoti.fi/42kcOYy   YouTube Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOv56NTjNAeK7cUVamIPioSCsr06-vSGG RSS: https://podcast.jeffreyvanleeuwen.com/feed.xml   SOCIAL LINKS: X: https://x.com/RealJvanLeeuwen Patreon: https://patreon.com/JeffreyPvanLeeuwen
