W sierpniu 2020 roku w porcie w Bejrucie doszło do gigantycznego wybuchu. W powietrze wyleciało niemal 3 tysiące niebezpiecznych azotanów, które były składowane w niezabezpieczonym miejscu, niedaleko dzielnic mieszkalnych. Eksplozja zbiegła się w czasie z ogromnym kryzysem ekonomicznym, który pchał Liban na skraj przepaści. Ludzie domagali się zmian i odsunięcia od władzy nieudolnej i skorumpowanej klasy politycznej. Po roku od tych wydarzeń zadajemy pytanie, czemu w Libanie nie zmieniło się nic, politycy okopali się na swoich pozycjach, a ludzie mają jeszcze mniej pieniędzy, niż mieli.
