5 - Leadership and Culture and the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry

In this episode we discuss some of the outcomes from the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry (the Hayne Commission).  Particularly, we discuss culture and how boards need to focus on monitoring culture.  Additionally, we discuss how leadership should be looked at has a hard skill and not a soft skill particularly for senior executives.  There are methods to measure one's leadership ability and there are metrics that measure the culture of an organisation.  There is a need for boards to include more members who specialise in leadership and organisational culture.
