#5 - Looking Back on 2023 - Shop, Farm, and Weddings!

In this episode, Sydney & Audrey talk about.... The best of and lessons learned from 2023 for Garvey's Gardens! -The shop - we opened! YAY! So many stories from our time in the shop and a great intro to our favorite floral software, EveryStem! We planned the 2023 farm before the shop was in existence, so it didn't align as well as we had hoped but we got LOTS of flowers, did a big tulip growing method trial, had some failures due to a wet spring, and are trying to overwinter our dahlias this year. Whew. LOTS of gold nuggets in here for all of you flower farmers and gardeners listening! -Weddings! We flowered 18 gorgeous full-service events this year and countless pickup (aka A La Carte) weddings! So many lessons learned here, but mostly around balancing time, labor, and materials.
