Disneyland Shanghai opent op 16 juni 2016. Het park ligt een half jaar achter op schema en de kosten rijzen de pan uit. In Amerika beginnen ze de gevolgen daarvan te ondervinden door de bezuiningingen die worden doorgevoerd om deze extra kosten op te kunnen vangen.
