5 - The Hungry Sea

  THE HUNGRY SEA EPISODE SYNOPSIS: The Robinson party escape from the cave with its relics of an ancient alien civilization just as a planet quake topples the whole structure. Continuing their way to the tropics they discover that owing to the planet's elliptical orbit, they are in danger of being roasted alive during the rapidly approaching moment when it comes closest to the sun. They manage to survive this ordeal but John decides they must get back to the comparative safety of the spaceship as soon as possible. To Don's anger, he won't allow him time to check their equipment first. John is proven wrong when crossing the inland sea in a storm, the solar batteries give way and they cannot steer the Chariot. Don climbs out to repair them and is nearly washed overboard. When the danger is over, the two men reconcile their differences and they all get back to the spaceship.
