50. Accreditation Update

Accreditation has been in the news again recently. But not for the reasons you might think. Usually we hear about institutions that have sanctions imposed on them by accrediting bodies for any of a variety of issues related to the standards of a given accreditor. But recently accreditors themselves have come under scrutiny by the Department of Education for possibly not complying with Department of Ed regulations.  It’s also the case that some accreditors are struggling to find public members to serve on their governing boards, which is federal mandate.
