50. Austin Powers Box Set Marathon
from The High Hat Film Podcast Hosted by highhatfilmpodcast
They said it couldn't be done, but The High Hat Film Podcast makes it to 50 episodes! Andy Fenwick joins Michael this week for another gruelling jaunt into the world of DVD box sets. This episode, they examine Mike Myers' spy-spoof trilogy; Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Austin Powers the Spy Who Shagged Me, and Austin Powers in Goldmember. Featuring a discussion on when a fart gag stops being funny, a look at the many faces of Myers in the franchise, and an investigation in how a series can go from genuinely funny, biting satire, to a laugh-free trainwreck in just five short years. It is a must listen for anyone who knows their Alotta Fagina's from their Ivana Humpalot's.
