#50: Kamaiyah
from A Waste of Time with Itsthereal Hosted by A Waste of Time with Itsthereal
This week on A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal, we welcome our favorite rapper right now, Oakland's own, Kamaiyah! Following the success her amazing mixtape A Good Night in the Ghetto, as well as her tour de force at SXSW, we sit down with Kamiyah to talk a childhood of foster homes and switching schools, her time in dance crews, how she avoided becoming boy-band listening skaters like her brothers, meeting Puffy in the studio and watching his #MakingTheBandFace, co-signs from the Bay, from Los Angeles, and most recently from a certain rapper from Toronto who's running the game! And as a bonus this week, we got our friend Fafu to share some stories from his time working with the late, great Prince. This episode is sponsored by Seeso.
