Why is that? We all need help in our lives. Whether it be learning from our teachers throughout our lives, or from our mentors, our employers, our parents, our spouses, and yes, even our children.Sometimes, however, when we feel stuck internally with thoughts of “I’m not good enough, or I’m not strong enough, or I’m not qualified enough, or “I don’t have what it takes, or I’m scared…we hesitate to ask for help because we are concerned about what people will think. As adults we don’t ask for help enough and, especially now, it’s so important for our collective well-being. The last 2 years with Covid have seen a lot of upheaval in the world. We are all questioning our purpose moving forward. We realize life is precious and short and we don’t want to be looking back at our lives and regretting that we didn’t do that thing. It’s been called the Great Resignation and it's not just about our work life. It’s about what we want, yes, for our work, but how do we want to live according to our values? How do we want to understand our true passions and how do we want to contribute to the greater good of the world? If we are feeling stuck in any aspect of our life, especially now, we shouldn’t be shy to ask for help. And to invest in ourselves, time, money, resources. Seek the help you need. Take the time to BE rather than always DO. Take the time to rediscover who you really are.
