# 50 Mind the body – how choices are made and revealed

from Filosofiska Podden med Mogensen & Tsapos

Are you aware that your body may reveal your choices before you do? It might be that while you hesitate, your body already knows! In this episode, Melina and Lars talk to Alexandra Mouratidou, Assistant Professor of Cognitive Semiotics at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Poland. Alexandra studies how our choices are made and how they are expressed through body language. She was inspired by the concept of choice blindness, introduced 20 years ago by the Swedish cognitive scientists Petter Johansson and Lars Hall through their empirical and theoretical exploration of the surprising finding that people often fail to notice dramatic mismatches between what they want and what they get.
